Canadian University College gladly "spent" more than $130,000 in one two-hour spree Tuesday evening, March 26 when it awarded over $130,000 in scholarship money to 67 students. Following the event students who received money wrote thank you notes to the various donors who made their award possible. A copy of the printed program listing all awards and recipients can be found here.
Sidney Lakusta-Wong, left, received the evening's largest award, the Legend Scholarship of $12,064. It was presented by last year's recpient, Faith Calaminos, and one of the donors, Rob Clark. |
Carrol Smith, right, presents the scholarship that was established to honour her mother, Emilie Schafer, to Annelise Linrud. |
Most students did not know which scholarship they would receive, thus, the look of surprise on Anthony Kern's face as he receives the Lovyl and Mary Hagle President's Scholarship. |
