More than $130,000 in Scholarships Awarded

Canadian University College gladly "spent" more than $130,000 in one two-hour spree Tuesday evening, March 26 when it awarded over $130,000 in scholarship money to 67 students.  Following the event students who received money wrote thank you notes to the various donors who made their award possible.  A copy of the printed program listing all awards and recipients can be found here.

Sidney Lakusta-Wong, left, received the evening's largest award, the Legend Scholarship
of $12,064.  It was presented by last year's recpient, Faith Calaminos, and one of
the donors, Rob Clark.

Carrol Smith, right, presents the scholarship that was established to honour
her mother, Emilie Schafer, to Annelise Linrud.

Most students did not know which scholarship they would receive, thus, the
look of surprise on Anthony Kern's face as he receives the Lovyl and Mary Hagle
President's Scholarship.
